Frequently asked questions

Can I choose my flatmates?
We cannot guarantee flat allocations with friends, though you may note preferences when applying. Allocations aim for diverse flat composition. Groups of friends often live in neighbouring flats within the same hall.
Are halls mixed gender?
Flats are mixed gender unless you request single-gender accommodation for religious or personal reasons, subject to availability.
Can I stay in halls during vacations?
Yes. Standard contracts include vacation residence. Kitchens remain operational though catering outlets operate reduced hours.
Is there storage over summer?
Limited storage lockers are available to book for international students who cannot transport belongings home. Domestic students should take possessions home at contract end.
What if I don't get on with flatmates?
Speak with your resident tutor first. Room moves are possible subject to availability, usually after the first month once initial settling period ends.
