The Spring Careers and Placement Fair is Luma University's largest employability event of the academic year, attracting employers from engineering, healthcare, education, finance, public sector and creative industries. Over 80 organisations confirmed attendance for 2027, including Jaguar Land Rover, regional NHS trusts, Deloitte, local councils and numerous SMEs from the West Midlands growth corridor.

The fair is open to all students and recent graduates. Employers recruit for summer internships, year-long placements, graduate schemes and immediate vacancies. Bring copies of your CV and prepare a brief introduction summarising your course, skills and career interests. The careers service offers CV review clinics in the fortnight preceding the fair.

Morning sessions from 11:00 to 13:00 focus on placement opportunities for second-year undergraduates. Afternoon sessions highlight graduate roles and postgraduate training schemes. Workshops on LinkedIn profiles, assessment centres and psychometric tests run concurrently in adjacent seminar rooms.

No registration is required for entry, though students are encouraged to upload their CV to the online fair portal so employers can arrange follow-up conversations. Smart casual dress is recommended. The fair is wheelchair accessible; if you require a quiet waiting area, contact the careers service in advance.
