Our October open day is designed for prospective undergraduates considering Luma for 2027 entry or later. The programme begins at 09:30 with a welcome talk from the Vice-Chancellor in the Great Hall, followed by subject-specific presentations across all four faculties.
Visitors can tour Riverside Hall, Beacon Court, Maple House and Scholars Village accommodation, speak with current students at the clubs and societies fair, and attend financial guidance sessions covering tuition fees, maintenance loans and scholarships. Academic staff will be available for one-to-one conversations about entry requirements, personal statements and career outcomes.
The School of Health will run simulated clinical skills demonstrations, while the School of Computing opens its AI laboratory for guided tours. Families travelling from outside the West Midlands can find travel information and recommended hotels on our website. Parking is available on campus but limited; we encourage use of Luma railway station, a fifteen-minute walk from the main reception.
Register in advance to receive a personalised itinerary and fast-track entry. On-the-day registration is available but subject to capacity in popular subject sessions. Lunch is not provided; catering outlets across campus will be open, and the students' union café offers discounted meals for registered visitors showing their open day badge.
